Unrelated to my Substack, I am also founder of Upstanders Canada, which mobilizes Canadians to stand with Jewish people and Israel.
Upstanders held its first-ever live events recently, in Vancouver and Ottawa, on the subject of MEDIA BIAS: How Media Mainstreamed Antisemitism And What To Do About It.
The events featured Rob Roberts, editor-in-chief of the National Post, in conversation with journalist and writer Dave Gordon.
Janet Dirks, a director of Upstanders Canada, contextualized the media landscape. A special announcement followed, featuring the Honourable Selina Robinson. (At the Ottawa event, Roberts was named Upstander of the Year.)
I introduced the organization’s work.

(Also, methinks the charmin' Janet Dirks, like yerself, has a wicked sense'a humor in less formal settin's! so great yer a team). Methinks this event / yer conferences should also have a home in Montreal & Toronto, no?--perhaps Ezra Levant could give y'all a plug? Mark Styne (& his trusty jooish writer Laura)?
I look at the lovely crowd / audience & I "vunder" how the whirld kin "fear & loathe" these folks, a bunch'a kind 'n decent alter-kochers, whilst embracin' our violent unruly enemies? It's a velly "senior" crowd--most over 60's, a few 40 sumthin's.... all great (I'm a mite long in the tooth m'self!) BUT where are the young'uns? Are they all on the "udder side" 'er is it jus' that there's no way ta reach 'em? I worry as the young-ish make up the pro-HamAssians & will be the next generation of journalists.... leaders, etc. The MSM is already so bi-assed against Israel.... perhaps we kin clone (lol) David Collier who seems ta have a noo profession debunkin' lies 'bout us jooze....

I’m just starting to listen to your video and I’m already liking your land acknowledgement (there are very few that I am happy with). Would it be possible to get a transcript of the land acknowledgement so that we could work with it and make it our own for various meetings (Jewish and non-Jewish). Thank you.
