Damn. You didn’t miss a thing. I save tons of things to share on social media to try to spark awareness in my very silent social circle, and then I don’t do it because I just feel like it’s pointless and I’m exhausted. I think I’m just going to use your article instead because you said everything.

I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again: I can’t thank you enough for your support. Too often since October 7th, I’ve felt so incredibly alone, as my (for the most part) non-Jewish friends and acquaintances live their normal, happy lives, utterly indifferent to the daily hell that being a Jewish supporter of Israel has come to be (and memo to the so-called “anti-Zionist Jews”: They hate you every bit as much as they hate people like me, but you useful idiots serve a (malevolent) purpose for the time being). So, I am grateful beyond words for what you do.

I beg to differ with your interpretation. Just because a poem is misread does not invalidate it.

Just because readers fail to do what this poem implies should be done does not invalidate it.

And poems don't have to rhyme!

But the point about the hypocrisy of some readers is well taken.

Hahaha. I promise you the comment about not rhyming was to show what a philistine I am!

I don't doubt it for a minute! btw, I have not received a recording of the Upstanders presentation on rescuers (held last Sunday, April 27?)

It is incredible how many people who justify hate speech in the name of "we have to respect free speech even when it is vile" are at the same time choosing to not use their own right for free speech to vigorously speak out against antisemitism. Thank you, Pat.

Jus' like in CheerMany, zey don't see "anyting".... (their "sniffers" don't detect human BBQ either!). We all know (per the pund-ditz) that antisemitism duzn't exist!.... We chews (an' our friends) are simply a 'bunch'a spoiled "yids" all bellyachin' 'bout nuttin'--nuttin'! Boo hoo (I've been told), "gotta beef?! take it ta the butcher!" Ve are da greedy real estate "grabbers" an' baby killerz who should shut our fat traps complain'in' 'bout nuttin' (ask Max Blumenthal, ask Glenn Greenwald--camp-puss antisemitism? FICT-shun) So vats ta SEE? Who's on foist?

YUP, we loudmouths know it's indeed at their own peril that zey see nuttin' an' Neimoller set that bar REALLY LOW yet still, as ya said, few SEE any writin' on the wall let alone their own future in the world of "next."

I never got it before, pre 10/7.... HOW could they not see? All the Cassandras, all those warnin' the whirled that never again IS now.... Honestly even if they brought in the frickin' cattle cars all those with blinders on would say, "Oh goody, an auto show--let's see sum' monster trucks."

MOST are willfully blind ta whut very CLEARLY resembles comin' fer us chews. So expectin' them ta schtep up ta the plate KneeMolar style (however cynical), ain't gonna happen.... it "vill" be too late...

ps Pat ya generously say that those "odder than" da joos are not seein' the writin' on the wall even now...I'm ash-aimed ta say it but... it's also da SJW chews on the Left... those marchin' fer Ham-Ass. Little do they know it ain't a joke... or that THEY are "on" first....

Love the Robert Frost quote! You correctly highlight the self-interest and hypocrisy of the reciters, but I wouldn't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
