I know Mitchell Plitnick, having taught him years ago in a class having nothing to do with the Middle East. I have not read the book so cannot comment directly on it. But I have long found Mitchell overly indulgent of the Palestinians. He and I see them quite differently. My view: they have had many exit paths from where they have ended up but tragically refused to take them.
You make a lot of sense. So why do you align yourself with a bunch of lunatics supporting the one of the most regressive cultures on the planet? You can do a lot more good with people who value integrity, which you aren’t going to find in the Progressive Left? No , you don’t have to be a dreaded Republican. There are plenty of independent thinkers out there who aren’t part of the GOP. But Progressives are a nightmare in every dimension.
