I appreciate your consistent writing on the subject of the degree to which the Western left has fully embraced the cause of the Islamist monsters. It is certainly enough to drive anyone normal insane to try to make sense of all this. The only thing we need to understand about the left is as follows:

1. It hates Western Civilization

2. Any entity that opposes Western Civilization is not just an ally but to be revered and worshipped.

3. The Jews are the symbol of Western Civilization so they are worthy of death.

Now this attitude once belonged to extremists and is now seeping into the "acceptable" left. The "acceptable" left often pretends to not hate the West and to not wish death on the Jews. But the mask is slipping.

Re celebrations, in my town on the Hudson River, a local restauranteur is offering a so-called fund-raising dinner in support of Gazans tomorrow, October 6. It's been advertised in local papers and on Event Brite. It was originally scheduled for Oct. 7, which made it even more obvious that the dinner is really meant to be a celebration. I don't know why the date changed. To be less obvious? One can attract more customers on a Sunday? Thanks for another good piece.

Disgusting.

Yes. I see the problem. You do as well. Others do, but not enough people.

Then I land on a hyperventilating piece by American part-time ‘philosopher’ Charles Eisenstein who I once thought was inspirational, and now I must conclude he is just a New Age dumbass, which is scary in itself. If you ever need fodder to rip some more into the left-wing / New Agey / truther nut boxes, I can highly “recommend” his pieces on the Middle East.

Especially sad when he castigates Robert Kennedy Jr for ‘taking sides’… in fact, taking Israel’s side. That’s a big NO NO! And then it gets better by “explaining” how a population that is “starved”, “robbed” off opportunities, locked into an “apartheid system”, has of course no other possibility then to explode in anger and rape, pillage and murder. Ofc it’s not a “justification” as he says, BUT…

He is gracious to admit Oct 7th may not have been a false flag and one shouldn’t come to simple conclusion, only to then carry on saying in a comment that “Israel allowed this to happen but probably underestimated the scale and took it as an excuse to take the kids’ gloves off”. Tata!

What an elegant way to reveal you are just another rabid antisemitic piece of work.

By the way has no one asked why the many Muslim immigrants to Canada who are now protesting are not labeled as colonists…!? I mean… you know. It’s not like there is an ‘ancient claim to the land is there’ or did I miss something!?!?!?

Charles Eisenstein is a perfect example of Pat’s explanation of inversion. Wording any complaint about Israel’s behavior in terms of horrors that Jews have endured, even when the facts don’t fit. He has a piece about snipers. Something about how do Israelis live with themselves. Like Hamas taping themselves laughing over killing and torturing people? It’s mind blowing.

(sigh) Mister Kumbaya ('cept when it comes to Israel) Charles Eisenstein's only half jooish--the other half is anti-semite, guess which side is "winnin'?" (he gits more "likes" an' subscribers as a joo against joos... an' will continue to do so until the time comes when he needs to find an attic...)

That’s exactly what I was thinking. He talks about not taking sides, but utterly fails to mention Hamas spraying a NGO worker with bullets the other day for not complying to their desire to ransom to them. How does Sinwar live with himself down in the tunnels surrounded by hostages?

Apparently his fan base complained that he was “too pro Israel” in his previous article, so he had to ramp it up a bit. Yes another self-hating half-Jew. Be critical by all means, the sniper attack was horrible and another self-goal for Israel. But by all means - make this criticism a 360-degree job. Please.

For me he is done and dusted as a thought (mis)leader, Mister Kumbaya. Dripping in self-righteousness about not taking sides. If the world had taken sides just a little bit earlier in the 1930s, maybe we all wouldn’t be stumbling about on 60(!) million skulls and bones post WW2.

That the Canadian "nice folks" are supporting and broadcasting antisemitism beggars my credulity. But then neither does Shelah Horovitz's post re the US. What has happened to 'nice' Canada, just across the border from me. But then, I wouldn't have thought Shelah's post possible either.

Thanks for illuminating the slow slide into antisemitism in your "neighborhood". Share the heck out of this folks.

I love dead Palestinian Arabs. Only the ones involved in anti-Jewish terrorism, but that doesn’t seem much of a qualifier. With that qualification I contribute to charities for the multiplication of dead Palestinians. May there be many more next year!

Hezbolloons, Houthis, the IRGC, and others alike likewise.

Wonderful piece. Sadly Down Under is much the same .. an epicentre of apologists for terrorist lovers and Jew haters .

Excellent. So spot on. The woke west embracing jihadis only 23 years after 9/11. Wait until it’s too late and they learn what the price of a short memory is.
