I’m guessing that the activists would respond that they are getting “media attention” focused on a “problem.” I learned a long time ago, however, that a great deal of student activism is not about ameliorating a problem. It’s about feeling good. You could see the kids in the encampments huddled near their tents pretending that the IDF had rendered them, too, homeless and hungry. Don’t YOU wish you could be affluent and oppressed at the same time?
I'm trying hard to think if there could possibly be any worse activists in the world than the pro-Pali ones, and I can't even think of any close contenders. They're just the worst of people. Not a scrap of decency among them.
