Thanks for an excellent essay. I too am appalled at what's happening to Afghani women and the silence from the campus crowd. And total silence re the Sudanese genocide. Oh, that's right, you said it, "No Jews!"

what about!! what about the millions that Pakistan is deporting back to Afghanistan? Half of those people are women who are being deported into virtual slavery.

Those that believe in Islamic religion in western democracies…… why do they not speak up about the degenerate behavior or their peer group in Afghanistan?????

I’m in almost total agreement—it’s the last point that’s a little more nuanced: western protesters are not anti-Jews exactly. They love Chomsky, Marx, B Sanders, H Zinn, et al. Many ARE Jews. Their primary problem is with Jews who refuse to totally assimilate; with Jews whose Jewishness is close to their core identity. Zionists fall into that category.

On the other hand, all surveys I’ve seen suggest that Muslims (and especially Arab Muslims) are antagonistic to Jews per se. And is also statistical evidence that African-Americans are likely to be more antagonistic to Jews than the general population. But US college students are typically not.
