I had the hilarious misfortune of visitin' "GUM"-- I recall the rough wool overcoats, 2 styles available (frumpy! & frumpier!) an' color cherces were navy, gray, an' "bm" brown. Georgeous buildin'--baroque decor an' instead'a lovely furnishin's there were 3rd rate vaccum cleaners an' sad lookin' women with schmatas on their heads waitin' in looooong lines... What the stew-dENSE don't know indeed!.... (of course in Russia they lined up unsure of the "content" but havin' no cherce at all... I guess the SJW's find charm in what I'd call bleak misery?)
