Finally, someone is presenting, clearly, persuasively and factually some new ideas about "the conflict". While it seems to me blindingly obvious that the many vocal and demonstrative supporters of Palestine are nothing more than Israel haters, it is refreshing and useful for someone intelligent and articulate to put voice to the sur-reality of, for example, Queers for Palestine. Well done, Pat. Your writings, with such clarity and humanity, on this subject are sorely needed. Well done!

I like your new "trademarked" terms. And would love to see them circulated for wider use in the world.

Pat I appreciate your writing and your clarity. I ask you to consider the myth of Islamophobia. I call it a myth because after reading the Koran (albeit in translation) I have concluded that it is a death cult masquerading as a religion that must be feared rationally. Maybe it’s worth considering/exploring it is evil. It is at the root of all the Palestinian Islamist groups I have ever seen.

Enjoyed reading that. Also agree that for these activists it’s not about actual Palestinians but about an ideological fixation on Israel. To me it seems that Israel in their imagination really takes on the idea of a kind of a cornerstone which once ‘removed’ would lead to the unravelling of the evil powers that be and liberate the oppressed like from an evil spell that caused them to do and say all these things that to the uninitiated might appear as strictly contradictory to emancipatory or progressive ideals. The naïveté of it all should make this highly improbable but somehow I guess this kind of twisted Rousseauean fantasy informs a lot of leftist (in a broad sense) thinking, that there’s a common human interest, that eventually will come to bear if only we take care of oppression (and, of course, those few types that are somehow curiously not included in this otherwise perfectly harmonious conception).

Let’s not forget perhaps the most egregious co-option of all — the use of the g-word.

And although you aren’t actually trademarking the phrases Antisemitism Culture and Toxic Palestinianism you might consider grabbing the domain names!

Superb stuff, Pat. Thank you 🙏.

I think it was Douglas Murray who quipped that Gays for Palestine and like Chickens for KFC. Not a flattering analogy but apt. You have a view on that, Pat?

Hahaha. Do I have a view on that? Somebody stop me …

Free Palestine is a cult, and like all cults, everything must be about their quasi-religious cause. The fact that it's injected into every progressive space doesn't mean "Free Palestine" is a common cause, it means that everything progressives support is infested with the deranged members of this cult. Progressive causes are idiotic, full of idiots who are brainwashed at best, but in most cases violent domestic terrorist supporters of an illiberal, totalitarian, foreign religious-right Islamist genocidal cause.

Man I remember walking around the occupy Wall Street protests in nyc wondering why there were people pushing Palestinian propaganda with posters, signs and literature. My friend and I were like - why are you guys here lol

This essay is great, and now I’m thinking “free Palestine” is the “all lives matter” of the social justice moment

Allow me to suggest “Parasitic Palestinianism” as more descriptive of how they operate. They leech off and demand sustenance from other groups even as they weaken them by diverting their energies and impact.

It almost makes you believe that the concept of “intersectionality” was created for them. It wasn’t, as it started out as a legal theory of rather limited scope. Later, its meaning was subverted by those seeking to broaden their own appeal by recruiting groups who focus had little if anything in common with them.

Perversely, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s proclamation that “injustice anywhere is injustice anywhere” was turned into a moral-seeming cudgel to enforce conformity and adhesion. That this strategy has proven so successful, only indicates how rare a thing is the moral courage necessary to stand on and defend important principles.

Terrific as usual. Free Palestine only means a greater Palestine free of Jews as Germany once dreamed of greater Germany being Judenrein. The two share a common ideology- Nazism.

It's been going on for a long time. The anti-George Bush, anti-RNC protest in New York City had lots of people sporting signs saying Zionism = Nazism. I was holding a homemade sign with some environment slogan on it, looked around me and thought, What am I doing here?

Old as I was, it was first demonstration and I swore it would be my last. But I forgot, and attended the big anti-Trump demonstration, and it was the same foul nonsense.

Islamists have infested every cause -- and the Democratic party. I am realizing that it's been a long time since any of those causes were pure.

Trump won this time because we are sick to death of BLM, DEI, Hamas, activists who prefer we all of us live behind bars to keep criminals and crazies at bay instead of putting them in secure jails and institutions, immigrants who won't come to this country legally, and the like.

If anyone wants to know how stupidly vile pro-Palestinian demonstrators are, read about how they blocked the doors of Memorial-Sloan Kettering Hospital and screamed obscenities at the children's wing and the children and oncology nurses looking down at them.

Toxic is not a strong enough word. The filth called Palestinians are a cancer that no country on earth wants anything to do with.
