I’ve passed this on to my gay, progressive, Jewish friend who, like me, feels isolated from our “progressive” friends. We don’t talk to them about this issue; there’s lots to talk about with Trump, Poilievre, etc. He is going to pass it on to relatives and friends who would appreciate it.
And you think that under Project 2025, Jews will do well? You think you have a better chance to effect change with Republicans? There are serious problems with antisemitism on both left and right. You can--as I have--choose to work with and influence Dems, you can hide, or you can vote Republican. If you vote Republican, you are voting for fascism. If you are silent, you are allowing other voices to speak for you. If you vote with Dems, you can--along with the vast majority of Dems, influence the platform and educate others about Judaism, Jews, and Israel.
Wow, quite an emotional response. I’m an independent, never pull a straight ticket as I know many dems and republicans do, despite a poor candidate. The dems have had the white house for 12 of the past 16 years. If your eyes are open you see the hate on both sides, the extremist in each party. Best.
Pride organizers in Toronto had caved over a decade ago, when they allowed Queers Against Israeli Apartheid to not only march, but dictate policy. They prevented a Jewish group from marching, then moved on to police. In 2021, BLM shut down the parade, and the organizers immediately acquiesced to their demands. So this party-pooping continues.
Chances are, the protesters at the Vancouver parade were hired and paid, like they have been at most such events. The money from Iran and Qatar is limitless.
