For a while I've thought about setting up a gofund.me page to help set up gay and feminist charities in the middle east. Here me out.... with the funding we can buy those supporters in western democracies plane tickets, placards and banners and send them over to pursue their noble causes. Organise public marches and speakers. My only suggestion, in terms of good financial discipline, is the return flights are refundable, as I don't think too many will be making it back.

Sorry to say the only piece of the puzzle you seem to be missing: it’s actually all about communism (new wave?) The long march through the institutions (read: to change the narrative, teach the kids the new narrative you want them to espouse, while simultaneously degrading and destroying the institutions, trust, traditional values that hold the system up, and teach them “activism” and revolutionary tactics. When the time was ripe, the youth unite and overthrow the “old” just as in the Chinese Cultural Revolution. Since communists have always hated liberty from the ground up and Jews, well, there ya go. Antisemitism is “nullified” by the oppressor/oppressed reductive/simplistic ideology. I hate to tell you this, but even though I’m moderate, and independent (no political party), and support “liberal” ideas like love whomever you want between consenting adults, erasing the color line (see people as people, not as other immutable and superficial traits like “black”/“white”/“brown”), etc…with research into the progressive left starting with wtf extremes to see if they were even real/serious and working backwards, I can sadly say the resurgence of totalitarian communism is as real on the far left as the more obvious resurgence of fascism on the far right. Both have pushed people further from any middle ground consensus. You may need to not only rethink the word Progressive, but you may need to rethink what you considered the “left” which, much like some former republicans or RHINOS, saw their party evaporate throughout this 21st century. There are two inflection points in the late 20th century: 1960’s and 1990’s. Take a deep dive and you will see what I mean. Sadly. Sorry. 😞 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

There is some truth in what you say. As far as these Gen Z communists, though, my theory is not quite as complex as yours. Honestly? I think when the face tattoos and nose rings stopped shocking the grandparents, the kids had to become communists just to get a rise out of us oldsters. Do you really think any of them could explain Marx to a first-year poli sci student?

Btw the same was/is true of fascism: the Hitler youth were raised to support the cause- sorta the same take over of institutions but more overt. 🤦‍♀️

Some can yeah. There are always people to whom extreme power games appeal to in every generation both “left and right” however they are defined at the time. And now with information at their fingertips, they really feel that more than any generation they know it all. Bad combination. 🤷‍♀️

I just consulted the Wikipedia page for Linda Sarsour, a name unknown to me prior to this post. She was born and raised in the United States. Reading that page suggests the possibility that she may never even have set foot in Palestine! She’s a little more “Palestinian” than I am “African” but not by much.

She managed to bring down the "Women's March" with open antisemitism, so that's one achievement of a fake progressive.

Between this and their support of Title IX changing to "gender identity," the progressives are anything but imo. They are looking at bringing women backward even more than the Republicans imo.

"I’m still a progressive. (Spoiler alert: Isn’t it obvious? I have stood, do stand and always will stand for human rights and equality."

Uh? This is being a classic liberal, not a "progressive" who never saw an issue that didn't require a government edict-solution.
